About Me

Hi, thank you for stopping by!

Let me introduce myself.

My name is Natasha, short for Natalya.

I was born and raised in Latvia, a northeastern European country. It lies along the shores of the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Riga. I was blessed to be raised by God fearing parents. I have three brothers and two sisters. I am child number three and the oldest sister. Now our family is much bigger. We try our best to stay connected and be involved in each other’s life. Living close to each other helps!

Back in Latvia I finished a two-year culinary school. Soon after I met my husband, who was already a citizen of the United States. I got my K1 visa back in 1999 and came to America for my wedding. It took me some time to get used to a new life in a completely new world, but by His grace it was possible. I felt in love with my new home.

I never worked by my profession here in America. All the experience that I have now came from cooking and baking for my family and friends at home. I also love the outdoors. I am a big nature lover! I love gardening, flowers, and my feathery girls. I really enjoy working and creating with my hands.

I also love music and love to sing. I’ve been singing since I was a pre-teen and never stopped since. I’ve led worship at my home church here in Northern California for more than 20 years now. I am also a pastor’s wife, that makes my life even more adventurous. We are happily married for 22 years. We have two miracles, two beautiful teenage girls. I love being their mom. It may be challenging sometimes, but it is so worth it!

When growing up, the door of our home was always open for people, and that’s what I continue to do in our home as well. We love having people over. I especially enjoy all the fellowship, laughs, and heart-to-heart conversations we can have over a cup of tea or coffee.

And that’s how I see this place. We may never be able to sit in the same living room or kitchen, but I will try to open the door of my home to you through this place.

Come and join me, and I hope my little place in this big World Wide Web will encourage, strengthen, bless, and inspire you to make your everyday life prettier and more colorful.

With love,

Natasha
