Looks like winter is not giving up this year. We have plenty of rain down here in the valley, and a LOT of snow in the mountain region.
Almost a month ago our family went to the snow for a few days. I love this tradition that we have. Family time is always the best!

This year we enjoyed a lot of snow and great family time. That means delicious food, lots of tea, laughs, games, and a ton of outdoor time. This is our second time staying in the Truckee area.

We thought we had a lot of snow when we were there in the beginning of February, but after a few more snowstorms they have even more snow now. The news says that a staggering 48.33 feet of snow has fallen so far this winter in the Central Sierra region. Quite impressive 🙂
We found a nearby place with amazing views and hills of snow to sleigh and hike on. What can be better?

One afternoon we took Mom there for a snow walk before dinner.

Hiking a little more up the mountain offers you scenic views of Tahoe Donner Lake, Johnson Canyon, and the surrounding areas right before your eyes. Absolutely breathtaking! We are already thinking to come back in springtime.

This place never gets old for me. I’m so blessed to live in such a beautiful place where my nature-loving soul can be satisfied.

Happy March everyone 🙂
I enjoy this cold rainy weather because I know that it will soon be three-digit weather, and we won’t see rain till November or even December for sure.
Get outside as much as you can and enjoy God’s creation!
